  • EQUAL Living is a provider of specialized accommodation services, including Short-Term and Medium-Term Accommodation, for individuals with disabilities. We focus on creating accessible, comfortable living spaces equipped with the latest assistive technologies.

    Equal Living is a brand name of Equisent Disability Services Pty Ltd, which is a business under the Equisent Group, a specialised healthcare focused property development, construction, and operations business with a proud 15 year experience in aged care, retirement villages, medical centres, and NDIS.

  • Our services are designed for individuals with disabilities who are NDIS participants. We cater to those requiring Short-Term Accommodation (STA) for respite or transitional living, and Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA) for those in transition to long-term housing solutions.

    Additionally, we take non-NDIS hospital convalescent and respite stays in conjunction with hospital discharge planners. We are also able to take Transitional Care Program placements (TCP). If you are a hospital discharge planner, please contact us for more information.

  • We offer a range of accommodations, including fully equipped apartments with state-of-the-art assistive technologies, DDA Accessible en-suites, and common areas designed for community interaction and skill development.

  • Your stay can be funded through your NDIS plan, which may cover Short-Term Accommodation (STA) and/or Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA) expenses. Our team can assist you in understanding how to use your NDIS funding for our services.

  • Our facilities are equipped with technologies like nurse call duress systems, smart bidet toilets, electronic ceiling-mounted hoist systems, and electric lowering benches in common kitchen areas.

  • Yes, we specialize in home modifications to enhance accessibility and independence in your own home. Our services range from minor adjustments to major renovations, incorporating the latest assistive technologies.

    All home modifications are signed off by our internal fully registered builder licensed with the Victorian Building Authority and works come with a Home Warranty Insurance Certificate.

  • Absolutely. We offer a variety of recreational activities and learning opportunities, including cooking classes in our common kitchen, group outings, and other social events to foster community engagement.

  • Our MTA funding can be utilized for crisis accommodation, providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals facing urgent situations like homelessness or family breakdowns.

  • The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government initiative in Australia designed to provide support to people with a permanent and significant disability. It offers funding and services to help individuals achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

  • Eligibility for NDIS funding is based on age (under 65 at the time of application), residency status (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or special visa holder), and the nature of the disability (permanent and significant impact on daily life).

  • To apply for the NDIS, you need to complete an Access Request Form and provide evidence of your disability.

    This can be done through the NDIS website or by contacting an NDIS office directly, who will put you in touch with a Local Area Co-ordinator or Support Coordinator.

  • Yes, NDIS funding can cover housing solutions such as Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and support for home modifications.

    It provides up to 28 days of financial support for Short Term Accommodation, Crisis Accommodation and 180 days of Medium Term Accommodation.

  • An NDIS plan is a document that outlines your goals and the funding allocated for supports and services. It is developed in consultation with you during a planning meeting with an NDIS planner or Local Area Coordinator.

  • NDIS plans are typically reviewed annually. However, if your circumstances change significantly, you can request a plan review at any time.

  • Yes, one of the key principles of the NDIS is 'Choice and Control', which allows you to choose the service providers that best meet your needs and preferences.

  • If you're not satisfied with your NDIS plan, you can request a review. This involves contacting the NDIS to discuss your concerns and potentially having a new plan developed.

  • This is on a discretionary basis after consultation with the Operational Facility Manager, and depends on the needs and requirements of the person involved and whether we have the support skill set available at the time of admission. Contact us for further information.

  • Our goal is to offer a holistic and all encompassing approach with a care team to look after the needs of an NDIS Participant.

    Our facilities on ground floor have consulting suites for Occupational Therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, and even GP’s are welcome. We aim to be a one-stop-shop for all of your needs.

  • Absolutely you can! We offer a wide range of serviced office consulting suites on the ground floor of each of our facilities which is available to be booked on a sessional basis for a morning, afternoon, daily, or weekly session. You can work there as casual, part time, or fully resident permanent. We have boardroom, vid con, and staff facilities that you can use to meet and services your clients.

    With a significant flow through of Participants on the upper floors you have the opportunity to grow your practice and cross refer to other allied health practitioners in a bubbling eco-system of supports.
